  • WELLBEING 101

Think you’ve got wellbeing covered? Those of us who work in the domestic violence sector often feel we know all there is to know about self-care, but how often do we reflect on what it means to provide collective care or how we could improve our wellbeing?

In this interactive session you’ll be guided through the seven pillars of wellbeing, and have time to reflect on how we can embed collective care into our organisations.

  • In this session, we’ll look at recent and upcoming legislative developments impacting frontline practice.

There will be time to reflect and share experiences of delivering new policies focused on supporting victims of domestic abuse.

  • Counter allegations, where both parties allege the other is abusive, are a common challenge for professionals coming into contact with domestic abuse.

Domestic abuse practice expert Dan Ryan will be taking us through guidance designed to help support multi-agency partners to feel more confident in identifying and supporting these cases, so we can better protect families.

  • WELLBEING IN THE CONTEXT OF DOMESTIC ABUSE

Ever feel like your emotions are more heightened than normal, or that you have less patience and resilience for the work?

In this session we’ll remind ourselves of what it means to be working within our window of tolerance, and how the drama triangle needs to be at the forefront of our thinking, as well as reflecting on the specific challenges of the domestic abuse sector and how we can ensure we’re not losing sight of our own needs.
